Oman

Oman is a beautiful country with lots to see and do. It was my last trip before Covid hit and traveling was not possible for two years. Here are some of the lovely historical sites I was able to visit there:

Al Hazm Castle, located along the Rustaq Loop, dates to the 18th century.

This mosque is actually not historical, as it was built in 2016, but it is so lovely I had to go and see it. It is located in Sohar, which is associated with the tale of Sinbad the Sailor.

Shawadhnah Mosque, which is certainly the oldest one I have ever visited–information about it above.

The National Museum and lovely older homes in Muscat.
