FIKAR Library

The Failaka Institute for Knowledge and Arts Research (FIKAR) is expanding its library at Dar FIKAR, accessible to artists, writers, researchers, and anyone interested in exploring Failaka’s history. As part of this expansion, we are seeking additional books specifically focused on Failaka to enrich the collection. Here is the full list.

We’re inviting people to contribute by pledging to donate a book to this collection. If you are able to do so, please fill out this google form.

If you choose to donate, we invite you to include a brief written reflection inside of the book (such as a quotation or personal note) along with your name, contributing to the library as both a scholarly resource and a collection of personal engagement with Failaka.

Below are the books currently in the FIKAR library that directly relate to Failaka:

Here are the books we hope to add. When possible, a link has been added where the book can be purchased. Alternatively, book stores in Kuwait may have copies.
